KW Civil was engaged to carry out ground preparation and surface treatment for a critical biosecurity infrastructure project. Works included grading, compacting, and rolling of existing material, importation of engineered fill, and the application of a double/double (14+7mm) sprayed seal.
Early site investigations identified variable material quality. Affected zones were excavated and replaced with compliant material from a verified supplier, ensuring a uniform base for seal application. To manage procurement risk, alternative supply chains were arranged to guarantee material availability throughout the project.
The surface was sealed using a high-precision double/double spray process, delivering excellent adhesion, durability, and water resistance. All grading and compaction activities met compliance benchmarks, resulting in a resilient, well-formed base designed for long-term performance in demanding conditions.
